How do you unwind?

Me? I go to a Crowder concert and have a blast!
For those that missed the dance moves and T-Pain app at the David Crowder Band show in Boise- here it is, yo!

Do We Get It Yet?

This is freaking amazing!
I agree with LosWhit- “I believe this video annihilates the idea that people want to show up to an event (church) and stand in rows and be sung and talked to. Safety is overrated. People want to be a part of something big.”
Nice.
I literally got goosebumps watching this!
Did you?
If not, check your pulse.

Um…

I’m speechless.

Swineflu (un)Tips

Today, and maybe for the next few days, I’m offering “tips” for swineflu.*

Follow them on Twitter or on Facebook. Laugh. Often.

*For those that have been effected by swineflu, directly or indirectly, my prayers are for your full, healthy recovery. Any and all “tips” are just my opinion and are meant to be humorous and in no way reflect the opinion of anyone else but me. Please do not take seriously any of these swineflu “tips”, and consult your health care professional with questions- not me. Thanks!

Earth Day SUCKS!

Thanks for getting past the screaming headline and actually hearing me out.

Today is my birthday. (Have you had your “ah-ha” moment yet? No?- Keep reading.)

I know- about 20 million people on the planet have today as their birthday as well- so what am I whining about?

Do you remember being in elementary school? (say yes) And that when it was someone’s birthday they brought goodies and the entire class had a party in their honor? (say yes) And that those parties were always in the afternoon so you could go outside and play after the goodies and singing? (say yes) (“Ah-ha”? No?- keep going.)

That’s what everyone remembers.

Not me.

Yes- we had “my party”. Yes- there were goodies. Yes- we all sang. Then we went to a stupid assembly about earth day.

No playing. No running. No being an automatic captain for kickball. No fun. Happy BEARTHDAY. Wa. Hoo.

So- that’s why earth day SUCKS! (Seriously- if you haven’t had your “ah-ha” moment yet, ask the person nearest you to slap you ‘cross that back of your head!)

It also SUCKS because people only really care one day a year. Instead of everyday. I’ll venture to guess that the one day of “green living” (eg- biking instead of driving) actually NEGATIVELY effects the environment because now everyone didn’t run the errands they needed to, so everyone doubles up tomorrow, and boom, the carbon footprint for April 23rd is not twice as much as April 21st, but more like 3-4 times as much.

Think about it. (A 2nd “ah-ha” moment possibly?)

Happy Birthday to: St. Francis of Assisi; Julius Sterling Morton (founder of Arbor Day); Jack Nicholson (the actor); & Isabella I, of Castile, (Queen of Spain, 1479-1504, patron of Columbus- yes, THAT Columbus)- just to name a few.

New link added…

I added a link to my Facebook. If you want to be my friend, just ask- and let me know that you found me via my blog. If you’re sitting there, reading this, and asking “What’s Facebook?”, here’s step-by-step directions:

  1. Crawl out of the hole you’ve been living in.
  2. Go to a computer that connects to the internet.
  3. Go to Facebook.
  4. Enter you information in the fields provided.
  5. Click on the Green ”sing-up” button.
  6. Congratulations!
  7. Party like its 1999.

Be careful out there.

Stop yer whining!

Bring back the old Facebook? Really? No. It’s glaringly obvious that the mean age of Facebook users is 14 year old girl/girlieboy. I have been asked to join so many “petition groups” since Facebook switched to its new, and improved, format that I want to hurl my lunch all over the babies!

And its completely nonsensical. I got an invite today that had the audacity to claim that the head man at Facebook wanted this guy, Peter Vinch, to start a group petition so the Facebook elite could get real feedback. There’s too many holes in this one for me to even attempt a stab at, besides- Dan Kalmar gives an above average post on the whole plight.

For any of my Facebook friends that read this and don’t agree with me. Tough cookies. (Yeah, the old, really crunchy, stale kind.)
