Best. Wedding. Video. Ever.

I’m serious.

I literally grew up at weddings. My father has been a professional cinematographer for over 20 years, so I’ve seen hundreds if not thousands of wedding videos.
This was the best I’ve ever seen. (Sorry dad.)

8bit Me

I posted about this before here, and this has been making the rounds for a bit now- so I thought I’d throw mine into the mix.

Which is closest in likeness?

Why Are Christians Surprised when they get Great Media Coverage?

This thought came to me as I was reading Andy Darnell’s post over on ChurchCreate.

In the comments I wrote:

Phonebook? What’s that?

I know my son, Jax, is going to ask me this question someday.

How do I know? Because I just dug those suckers out from the cupboard above the fridge last night!

What’s even crazier is that only one of those are NEW. That’s right- I recycled all of the other new ones the moment they showed up on my doorstep. And the ONLY reason I kept that one new book was because of the pretty sweet coupons in it- but that one is gone now too because I realized I could just take the coupons out and save my cupboards the space. (I actually tweeted about how I’m going to use these this year here.)

What Sven Kramer can teach us.

Earlier today I watched Sven Kramer lose the gold medal in the men’s 10k for failing to change lanes- a seemingly bone head mistake, but one that has ultimately proved to be the fault of his coach.

As many of you may have heard, Dutch speed-skater superstar Sven Kramer was heavily favored to win the Men’s 10K event in Vancouver (he hasn’t lost in the event since finishing 7th in the 2006 games), but was disqualified due to a lane violation, effectively dashing what would have been his second gold medal of the games and his fourth lowering of the recorded time for the event.

The sport of long track speed-skating, played on a 400 meter oval with just two lanes, requires that each athlete switch lanes on each lap of the race- this is done on the back straight of the oval of every lap.

Sammy Hagar & the WOA logo

A client of mine sent me this pic after he booked a hunt with “Red Rocker” Sammy Hagar.

I designed the Western Oregon Adventures logo as well as creating a custom website for Dustin (pictured at left) and his partners.

If you’re looking for a great hunting experience, check out WOA!

In honor of my first guest post on ChurchCreate I’m giving away a one year subscription to Collide Magazine!
I love Collide for a couple reasons:
1- They get it.
2- They get it.

Collide does more than just be relevant- the articles are authentic, because the people writing them are living it! If you haven’t checked out Collide yet- do it now. Well, maybe not now- but in a bit after you enter to win a one year subscription!

I secretly want to steal stuff.

I’ve watched some, I think, good movies over the past week. (No, that’s not where I’ve been. Well, it kinda is. But not entirely.)

First up was Surrogates, which I already talked about. The next was Gamer, a movie I don’t recommend because of the amount if nudity in it, although the storyline was decent. And tonight I watched the “horror comedy” Zombieland starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin. It’s in a similar vain as Shawn of the Dead, but more apocalyptic.

It’s ironic that all three deal with the apparent and possible end of mankind. And you know what- I have a secret: I love it.

I don’t watch the news.

Today I Twittered this:

I don’t watch the news because people are paid to report it.

And my friend Collin asked me this:

Just out of curiosity where do you get your news?

I was going to quickly answer him, but, as the three of you that are actually reading this may already know, I’m not like that. Ask me what time it is, and I’ll tell you how to build a clock.

Collin, here is the answer to your question my friend:

OK- so this is going to sound weird outside of context. Twitter.
