This is so freaking controversial. The shit is literally hitting the fan- everywhere. There’s a Facebook-status-chain-spam-thing going on that says this:

Florida is the first state that is now going to require drug testing for welfare! Some people are crying this is unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional but it’s completely legal that every other working person had to pass a drug test in order to support those on welfare? Re-post if you agree!!!

We were driving home from a BBQ this evening along State Street and were detoured through the Albertson’s parking lot due to emergency vehicles blocking the road. With a closer look we saw that it appeared to be a Police standoff situation. Here are some of the pics, and some other info about the situation.

I’ve never really celebrated today, ahem- Valentine’s Day. There are many reasons: mostly that it’s commercialized and hasn’t really been a “holy day” (where we get the term “holiday”) for over 30 years. (Wikipedia link.)
